  • Sunday 10th January is the Shahadat Majlis of our 4th Imam, Imam Zainul Abedin (a.s). The program will start immediately after Magribain Namaz at 4.25pm ending with nyaz.

  • The National Imam Hussain Blood donation campaign invites all brothers and sisters to help save lives by donating blood. Mobile blood units will be coming to our centre, on Sunday 3rd of January. If you wish you donate you can give your name to Brother Shahid Merali or Baqir Naqvi in the gents and Sister Tehseen Merali in the ladies. 
  • Voice of Al Husayn has organised an event to propagate the great sacrifice of Imam Husayn (as) to the wider community. The event entitled UNITED in HUMANITY will include Speeches from prominent figures from all walks of life followed by a peaceful procession on Saturday 23rd January in Birmingham City Centre, Victoria square. We urge you all to actively take part by along your family, and friends for this noble cause.  We will be joined by the National Blood service and people from all different faiths and backrgounds. To make this NOVEL method of propogating the message of Imam husayn (as) successful, the Voice of Al Hussein are desperately in need of funds. We urge you all In the Name of Imam husayn (as) to donate generously for this noble cause.  You can donate at the treasurers desk at the back 
  • Please note there will be a majlis on Wednesday 30th December to be recited by Sheikh Shahnawaz Mahdavi
  • From Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd January, there will be 3 majalis, being Ayyame Hassania,  and on Friday 22nd January being the Wafat night of Imam Hassan (a.s.). The programme will end with Nyaz. 
  • Hussein Day has been Organised by AHSN for ladies only on Sunday 17th of January here at Mehfile Abbas at 5.30pm. The theme for the evening is "Revisiting Kerbala, Reviving our hearts". Niyaaz to be served at the end of the programme. 
  • Jamaat members are reminded that the 2010 subscription is soon due. It would help if this can be settled in these nights to help jamaat save on sending reminders. 
  • CoEJ have created a short online Muharram quiz for all community members to take part. Two £50 prizes are available. Topics include islamic history, general knowledge and fiqh. For further details visit the coej website which is coej.org.
