The Madrasah’s General Regulations for Students attendance:
1.Students must be punctual and regular in their attendance of classes.
2.A
student who has not attended classes for more than two weeks through
illness or another cause must notify the Administrator immediately.
3.The
Education board shall deem a student to have withdrawn from the
Madrasah if the student has been absent without notification for an
aggregate of 6 weeks in the semester.
NOTIFICATION OF ABSENCE
Parents should inform the Administrator on the day if the child is unable to attend Madrasah.
In the event this is not possible a letter explaining the reason of absence should be sent with the child upon his return.
MONITORING ATTENDANCE
Attendance registers will be kept for all sessions.
LATENESS
Lateness in attending Madrasah sessions will be recorded. Three lateness will constitute an absence.
ACTION IN RESPECT OF ABSENCE
Absence of Two or more Weeks
Whereby
the absence exceeds two or more consecutive weeks a letter issuing a
warning of dismissal will be sent. The Administrator will contact the
parent/ guardian of the student directly, by telephone or in writing to
seek clarification of the reason for non-attendance and warn the
student of the consequences of continued non-attendance at classes. A
note of the contact will be placed in the student’s file.
If absence is expected to be prolonged, a valid reason should be sent in writing to inform the Madrasah.
A
student who is absent from further classes with absences amounting to a
total period of six weeks in the semester without due cause, is advised
in writing by the Administrator that he /she will be deemed to have
withdrawn from the Madrasah system.
