- Saturday 14th Feb: Presentation of a model created by the Abbasi
Youth depicting the journey of the
 women after shame e ghariba entitled
"THE JOURNEY OF TEARS: A TRIBUTE TO THOSE WHOSE EYES WERE
TEARFUL AND HEARTS ANGUISHED" by Sheikh Abbas Jaffer (see picture on the left for a sneak preview), followed
by screening of the "Caravan
of Pride" film (TBA).

Revision courses for GCSE and A level students 2009 |

 The
Education Committee of CoEJ has organised an intense revision course
for GCSE and A level students. GCSE subjects include English,
Mathematics and Science, whilst Biology, Chemistry, Economics and
Mathematics will be taught at A level.
It will run from
the 5th – 10th April 2009 in Queen Ethelburga's College, York. This is
a residential course, for boys and girls and is a non smoking course.

 The Caravan of Pride - موكب الاباء - Full Movie on aftermath of Karbala [ENG SUB]
The Caravan of Pride (Mawkeb-ul Abaa) is an eye-opening movie which skilfully portrays the heart wrenching series of events that unfolded after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain. After the massacre which took place on the plains of Karbala, the remaining members of the Family of the Holy Prophet (saw), who were not killed in the war, were taken captive and paraded in a humiliating and degrading fashion from Kufa (Iraq) to Shaam (Syria).
